How it's done...
The Sandpiper Elementary PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that invests significant funds into our school each year, beyond the minimum funding provided by the state of Arizona. Teachers, families and local businesses work together to accomplish these goals by:
- Donating through Direct Giving fundraiser in September
- Submitting your donation for Corporate Matching opportunities
- Eating out on Restaurant Nights
- Buying Spirit Gear
- Scanning in receipts for Box Tops for Education
Direct Giving
The Sandpiper PTO asks families to make a contribution to our Direct Giving campaign in support of school-wide programs ranging from our annual Teacher Grants to direct funds back to our students for in-class activities and supplies and notMYkid programming to a variety of campus improvements, such as the outdoor classroom and library remodel. Direct Giving also provides the funds necessary for our annual family events like Glow Party, Fall Hoedown, Spring Carnival, and Multicultural Night, just to name a few! Without your support through our Direct Giving campaign, we would not have these programs or events.
If your family is in a position to support Sandpiper through Direct Giving, we hope you will consider making a donation.
Participation in our community and contributions of all sizes are immensely appreciated.
OTHER FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES:
Parents Night Out
This adults-only evening event gives parents, caregivers, and community partners an opportunity to socialize in a fun setting while also supporting our school.
Community Business Partners
We solicit donations from area businesses as a channel for business owners to support an excelling local public school in exchange for advertising and exposure to our grateful community. Interested business owners can visit our Spirit Store to purchase a Corporate Sponsorship or contact ptosandpiper@gmail.com.
Other Incomes
Additionally, we have several smaller streams of revenue, including clothing and yearbook sales, Carnival Silent Auction, Scholastic Book Fairs, food trucks at events, Amazon Smile contributions, Box Top collections, Restaurant Nights, and other similar retail activities.
Where Does the Money Go?
We encourage you to participate and give as you are able, to the benefit of our children. The PTO takes pride in being good stewards of your donations, and we encourage you to attend our open PTO meetings every month to see firsthand. Every parent is a member of the PTO, and we welcome your insight, experience, and opinions as we work to sustain and enhance our interdisciplinary learning environment at Sandpiper.
Thanks for all you do to make our school great!
