Sandpiper Parents,

Mrs. Lundblade needs our help! There is an art show that is part of the Arabian Horse Show coming to Scottsdale. Usually only a few entries can be submitted, but Mrs. Lundblade reached out to the organizer and they have agreed to accept all submissions from Sandpiper. The art needs to be mounted and labeled to be delivered by 2/1. Each student that is entered receives a t-shirt and two (2) tickets to the show.  If you can help after school this week, please sign up. Thank you for the support!

If you are able to join the UPC meeting on 1/18, we highly encourage it. Sandpiper PTO Board Member, Nidia Elm, will be presenting on the importance of School-based Mental Health. It is a great way to get involved and learn what is happening within our district. Dr. Bales will be in attendance.

Lou Malnati's Pizzaria has extended the fundraiser to 3 of their valley locations. This includes dine in, pick up and delivery. They will be donating 20% to Sandpiper. Have you seen the kindness rocks in the garden the students painted in December? Next time you are on campus, stop by and take a look at the wonderful art and messages our students created. 

The weather is great and we need help in the garden. This is a perfect opportunity to spend a little time with your student during their lunch recess. Volunteers are needed from 10:50am - 1:30pm. Please sign up.

Garden Donations Needed: kids garden gloves, garden trowels, clippers, organic plant food, and carrot seeds.

Noche de Muscia will be here soon and the students are hard at work practicing and preparing their songs. We are excited for this showcase to happen at Desert Shadows Middle School where we will have plenty of space for friends and family to join. The performance will be in building C - Cafetorium.

Save the Date and find a babysitter. The Sandpiper parents are getting together to mingle and raise money for our school. Rooster Tavern is hosting us on their patio, February 15th from 5-7pm. They will donate 20% of onsite sales back to Sandpiper (food, beverage and bar). This event does require an RSVP, so please register today!

The Sandpiper PTO wants to welcome Cactus Horizon as a 2023 sponsor.

On January 24th, we are celebrating 100 Days of School! We encourage all students to dress up like they are 100 years old! Get creative and have some fun! We look forward to sharing pictures in the weeks to come! Lets have some fun!
